It’s no secret that we love the water here in Delavan! Take your Independence Day Celebrations to the lake! Deck out your pontoon in red, white, and blue and enter it in the Turtle Lake Tap & Grill 4th of July Boat Parade on July 3rd! Prizes will be awarded to the most patriotic, best decorated, and best themed watercraft!

Breakfast Delights and Patriotic Bites

The rumors are true! The Delavan Fire Department Breakfast at the Firehouse is back this 4th of July! Head to the firehouse for all you can eat pancakes, french toast, sausage, and beverages and support our local heroes. This year in addition to sit down service, you can take your breakfast to go via drive-up service. Pancakes anyone?

America on Parade

After your amazing pancake breakfast, make the short walk over to the historic brick streets of Walworth Avenue for the annual 4th of July Parade! See incredible floats, wave to the firemen, and celebrate as the parade marches towards Phoenix Park at 3pm. Be sure to get there early, as the best viewing spots fill up quickly.

Lakeside Pig Roast Picnic

Spend your 4th of July at Lake Lawn Resort. Festivities are in full swing at the resort and include a beach bash with the Caribbean Beach Bash and lawn games starting at 4pm. Once you’ve worked up an appetite after an intense game of cornhole, say aloha to your empty stomachs. Grab a plate at the Luau Pig Roast! Enjoy island style macaroni salad, mahi mahi, corn on the cob, roast pig, and Hawaiian style desserts.

Take it Easy Takes the Stage

There is nothing more American than country music and rock and roll. Celebrate freedom with a concert in the park featuring Take It Easy – A Tribute to The Eagles. From their debut Witchy Woman to their climactic #1 Hotel California, Take It Easy covers all the bases. The concert starts at 5pm.

Turn Your Eyes to the Skies for Fireworks

Red, White, and BOOM! Join the City of Delavan as they close out the city-wide celebration of freedom with 4th of July Fireworks.  Prior to the show, honor our nation’s fallen heroes at the Flag Ceremony in the park. The show is set to begin just after dusk.

Food Truck Friday at Staller Estate Winery – Gracie’s Kitchen

Food Truck Fridays return for another summer of deliciousness at Staller Estate Winery! This week, Gracie’s Kitchen out of Genoa City will be serving up amazing BBQ, Texas Toast Sandwiches, and mouthwatering bites from 4-8pm in the vineyards. Stop inside the tasting room and cool off with a glass, bottle, or slushie of your fave Staller blend. Let’s eat!

Independence Day Celebration at Community Park

Independence Day celebrations begin this weekend here in Delavan! Let freedom ring and join the Friends of Community Park for the Independence Day Celebration, Saturday June 26th. Get a sneak peek at the brand new Water’s Edge Wedding and Conference Venue, grab a bite to eat from local food trucks, shop the craft and vendor fair, and bounce the day away on larger than life inflatables. Be sure to stick around for the fireworks over Delavan Lake beginning at dusk. Happy birthday, America!

Cruisin’ Car Show at the Phoenix Park Bandshell

The annual Cruisin’ Car Show returns to the Phoenix Park Bandshell, Sunday June 27th! Come see over 50 classic cars, trucks, and motorcycles and enjoy the live music by Dirty Fishnet Stockings. Bring the whole family for swing dance lessons, hotrods, and fun starting at 12pm. Don’t forget your saddle shoes!

The Outlaws – Waylon Jennings & Willie Nelson Tribute at The Belfry

Brick Street Day is finally here! Join us in Downtown Delavan, Saturday, June 19th for a day of arts and entertainment! Enjoy family-friendly entertainment including performances by Circus Boy Bobby Hunt, Cream City Circus aerialists, Toe to Toe Dance Company, and so much more! See live artist demonstrations by world-famous chalk artist, The Chalk Girl, Beth Zwolski Tobias. Kiddos can enjoy story hour with Ms. Katharine from Aram Public Library. Bring the whole family to the Phoenix Park Bandshell Friday, June 11th, and enjoy a relaxing evening under the stars watching a movie on the cinema-sized screen. Panfish Tournament Hosted by Lakeside Bait and Tackle

Grab your fishing poles and head to Lakeside Bait & Tackle for the Summer Panfish Tournament, Saturday June 12th! Grab your fishing buddy and hit the water to see who can catch the most Panfish between 7am and 2pm. Winners will take home a $500 cash prize and all participants will be entered to win the Grand Prize Drawing at the event’s close.

WI DNR Free Fun Weekend

Ever wanted to try your hand at fishing but never got yourself a state fishing license?! This weekend only, residents and non-residents alike can fish freely on Wisconsin lakes, streams, rivers, and ponds without licenses. State regulations still apply, but now is the perfect time to cast your line and reel in the big ones!

Lakefest at Community Park

Celebrate the official start to summer at Lakefest at Community Park! Join in on the fun all day long starting at 7 am! Be dazzled by the Southern Wakes United waterski team, teach the kiddos to fish at the Kids Fishing Tournament, and enjoy a day lakeside! Delicious local food trucks will be servin up festival faves like funnel cake, corn dogs, and lemonade shakeups. See you at Lakefest!

The Britins – A Beatles Tribute at Phoenix Park Bandshell

Head on out to the Phoenix Park Bandshell this Saturday, June 6th, for an evening of Beatlemania with The Britins! This Beatles cover band will play all your favorite hits as you dance the night away! Grab some takeout from your favorite downtown restaurant and turn this free concert in the park into a picnic!
