Things To Do If You’re Single On Valentine’s Day

Single Friends Celebrate Valentine’s Day

Being single on Valentine’s Day means you get to spend it exactly how you want…and we think spending it with your best group of friends in Delavan is the way to go. Valentine’s Day weekend is coming up and we all know you could sit at home binging Netflix and ordering in food, but what if you went out and had a great time instead? We think that’s exactly what you need to make the most of this Hallmark holiday and we’ve got some suggestions in Delavan for you!

Galentine’s Day with your Besties

Once you and your best girlfriends get to Delavan we suggest grabbing breakfast at Elizabeth’s, Delavan Family Restaurant, or Sun Mist Café before heading to Staller Estate Winery for an afternoon of tasting and a winery tour. They have wine flights (one even comes with chocolate pairings!) or they can set up a custom wine experience with light food pairings for your group.

Get the Guys out on the Lake

You guys don’t need a reason to grab some beers and head out on the lake, but a single Valentine’s Day Weekend is a great excuse! Grab some breakfast at Tana’s Family Restaurant on the inlet before heading to Lakeside Bait and Tackle for some last-minute supplies. Then gear up, grab the auger and some tip-ups, don’t forget beers (you won’t need a cooler), and head out onto Delavan Lake. We’re not going to tell you our favorite spot…but it might be close to The Inn Between, one of our favorite spots to grab some more drinks and snacks after a couple hours on the ice.

Hit The Town On A Valentine’s Day Bar Crawl

Whether you’re the ladies or the guys, after a long day at the winery or out on the ice, what better way to end it than with dinner and a bar crawl? If you’re looking to stay in the downtown Delavan area, we have a walking route planned out (wear some comfy shoes!) And if you have a designated driver, check out our Lake Loop Bar Crawl that takes you to all the bars around Delavan Lake.

Downtown Bar Crawl

Start your night at Ol’ Wisco Bar & Grill with some Loaded Fries and the Wisco-Lovin’ Burger because it comes with fried cheese curds on top…obviously! Stick around for a drink after dinner and then head to Kimberly’s Place for a drink and some bar games (pull tabs anyone?!) Head down the road to Pete’s Parkside Pub for the next round. Then stop next door for a drink at Arcadia Bar & Grill before hitting the sidewalks for a short (but possibly brisk depending on the weather) half-mile walk to Brittany’s New Horizons. You can either end your night from there, or take another walk down to Delavan Lanes to bowl a couple rounds.

Lake Loop Bar Crawl

Once you pack up the ice fishing gear and take off some of the layers, head to the Watershed Saloon to start thawing out for the night. They have a full menu with weekend specials, including Friday Fish Fry, Saturday NY Strip, and 69 cent wings on Sunday. Your next stop is the Endzone Sports Bar & Grill just off South Shore Drive. Next up head to South Shore Bar and Grill, then head to Cattails on North Shore Drive before making your last three stops. The last three stops are all close together but recommend stopping at The Delavan Lake Store & Lounge first (maybe grab some ice cream or another snack), then heading to The Rustic Pub for some live music, before ending the night back at The Inn Between. If you’re still up for some more stops, you can hit up Pirate’s Cove and Waterfront Pub & Grill on the inlet.

See! Being single doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy Valentine’s Day weekend. It means spending it with your besties doing exactly what you want!
